Our Nepal guides and office staff
We partner with Himalayan Trails
Great staff are the key and the success of our niche treks is because of our hard-working staff and porter teams.
Taking care of our guides and staff is my #2 priority (taking care of you in my #1!).
Bire (Bir Bahadur) Tamang
Bire (Bir Bahadur) Tamang is a great trek guide and we have worked together for many, many years.

Bali (Bal Bahadur) Lopchan
Bali (Bal Bahadur) Lopchan is the guide-sirdar on our toughest camping treks and has also climbed Everest with me. We've been working together for several decades.

Da'Sona Sherpa
Da'Sona has worked his way up from kitchen hand to trek sherpa, and with courses sponsored by us, he is now a qualified guide with rapidly improving English.
Sometime, I will write more and post photos.
Leadership (Sona)
- Sona has to be one of the kindest, most gentle people I have ever met- he most often led the group and was an excellent pacesetter
- he worked tirelessly at meal breaks
- his English will need to improve if he is to eventually step up to be a full guide, although I think he understood a lot more than we realised
