C1.5 fun - first summit! On our acclimatization trip we summit a 7000m mountain 21 Sept: Camp 1 restWe rested and ate and made more tent platforms for Warwick and Simona who came up, and also for the sherpas, who willingly crammed 4 into a three person tent with two sleeping bags. We were a full camp. 22 Sept: to C1.5The fun part of the slog was the major crevasse. Chris, approaching it first commented it didn't look bad, he probably wouldn't use the rope but closer up, holy sh*t, with overhung edges and a big step up, we all used the rope across.

Leaving C1, Ed is really loaded up; ABC is at the end of the glacier but not visible in this photo - Jamie 3 Sept: C1.5 funWe climbed a peak, but can you pronounce it? It was just off Camp 1.5, only a couple of hundred metres higher. This was Chris's first major peak, and an altitude record for Greg, Mike, Ed and Chris, one that we hope won't stand for long.
