Driving to Shegar we crossed the Gyatso La, 5220m according to the sign, 5270m by GPS - Mike Teger 9 Sept: to BC
One of the many forts in the valley leaving Tingri. They were mostly destroyed several hundred years ago during the Nepal-Tibet war, and some during 1904 when England invaded Tibet too. Mike Teger |
