To North ColOur 2010 Project Himalaya Everest Expedition 8848m dispatchesWe climb up to North Col for acclimatization 5 May - Barry at North ColBarry rested up there, eating and drinking. I dug out the tent and hung out, plenty of friends up there. 6 May - Sherpa load carry to 7700mCarrying loads to North Col is easy but battling the usual wind to carry higher gets tougher. Luckily today was a good day and four sherpas took a load up, then headed down to ABC. A second team of sherpas stayed at North Col ready for a load carry tomorrow. 7 May - second load carryAnother good day! A second team of sherpas and myself carried loads of oxygen up to around 7700m. Does the color of a tent matter? - Jamie |
