Our team

Yes, with three climbers, three sherpas and myself we are a small team. However we also have a second team on the north side and so have some backup.

Fernando Davalos

Our lovable, stocky Mexican climber who runs Clinica Everest, a physical therapy rehabilitation center in Monterrey, Mexico. A real family man, with two and a half kids and a wonderful wife, he also has a wacky sense of humor. Fernando has climbed Cho Oyu and rock fall stopped him on Broad Peak.

Barry Cohen

A South African diamond specialist, Barry is a mellow, unfussy vegetarian who practices yoga.

Eric K

A former US marine, Eric now runs The Program, an athletic and leadership development company based in Boston. He has climbed on Nanga Parbat with Chris Warner and team in 2008, has competed in the Hawaiian Iron Man and is one solid guy.

Behind every successful man is a smart woman... Melissa and Eric recently married; the real honeymoon was in Costa Rica, Everest is more of a break. It is a pity she has to return to working with mutual funds so soon.

The crew

We have a star crew...

Our climbing sherpas are Dayula, Gurman and Kaji. We have Kami and Dawa Gyalgen as cooks, and Norbu, Dorje, Karsang, Rinchen and another Norbu helping in the kitchen and on the trail. I will expand on them sometime.
