Finally we reach Everest BC

16 April - drive to Everest BC 5150m/16,900ft

After the slow journey in it felt like time to get to Everest BC. We drove off the main tar-sealed road to take the shortcut to Everest BC. It is an adventurous road and we briefly saw a wolf (well spotted, Eric). Damn, we really should have stopped to photo-hunt it.

17 April - Everest BC

Wow, it feels good to be at Everest BC. Dayula and all the crew met us with big smiles, and the climbers were glad of the wedge fries (chips) for both lunch and dinner!

After the big jump in altitude yesterday we need to rest and acclimatize here, and the longer the better as the walk to Everest ABC (Advance Base Camp) is TOUGH.
