Summit !

Yes, we summitted!!

Gordon, Pierre-O, Denis and Olivier summitted on 26 July.

Jamie summitted on 27 July.

27 July - summit

Myself, Paul and Mick Parker from the False Canadian team, and Mehdi  set off on a good day using the trail of the team the previous day, at least as far as the false summit.

The summit ridge is challenging climbing although there is some old fixed rope, and we also fixed some. The peak behind is the north peak of Broad Peak, also over 8000m.

Mehdi became the first Iranian to summit Broad Peak. K2 behind, and just slightly left of his ski poles but rather indistinct, the lower, more commonly climbed summit of Broad Peak.
