15-16 May - Paul stays at the North Col

Paul made the North Col around four and a half hours, quite respectable.

A climber abseils down; there are up and down ropes, the 'up' rope is to the right.
This is the steepest section to North Col.

Paul is now back at ABC; Julian and Jamie are contemplating going up, in which case there will be no dispatches for two days. The weather does not seem good enough to attempt the summit. Instead we are keeping fit only.

It is likely Dawa, Namgyal and Da'Oangchu will stay at North Col as well and try to take the last loads to 7700m and 8300m.
