"Artists that paint in code"

So Ben Saunders (yes, the polar hero) quoted and mentioned his "weird hobby" - mine too.

This 2014 website design refresh is entirely hand coded with love in Dreamweaver.

All design features are mine, all text and photos are ours; myself and Kim's. It's 100% unique, like our treks ... !

Jamie is part of Manaslu Design in Kathmandu and can help with your web projects too.

Philosophy

Fairly minimalist and handles the new pixel-dense phones and tablets well yet adapts to older computer screens too. The site is bearable in 960px wide, good in 1024px wide, and expansive in 1280px and wider.

Top picture design, entirely mine, try changing the width of your browser window, rest of the design is mine also. The dropdown menu is adapted from CSS-Play.

Full HTML5 and CSS3

With the shiv workaround this site should still work for older browsers though. I am still using the Color Schemer Online V2.

Tidying

Adobe's-Macromedia's HomeSite is STILL my seriously powerful FAST site wide "search and replace" tool, better than any other solution.

Photos

Adobe Lightroom makes looking thru 60,000+ photos easy, and processing almost automatic.

Stats

More than 300 pages, well over 2000 photos and around 400MB. Over 200 unique visitors a day and more than 500 a week visit more than once. Not bad for a wonderful but obscure, small trekking outfit.
