Martin's Khumbu High trek photos

Thanks Martin. Here are a few shots of our Khumbu trip Christmas 2000.

The Dudh Kosi, the river of milk, which originates from Everest. This is walking from Lukla to Namche.

Jamie meets some friends on the trail.

Gokyo is a stunning place but to really appreciate its location you should climb up Gokyo Ri. This is the view from part way up, the mountain to the left is Cholatse, stunning from every angle.

The classic view from Gokyo Ri at sunset.

Joel assisted with a teaching program that included this school, and here he returns. (No, he isn't a dwarf, it is just the angle)...

The bridges of the Khumbu get better and better, but the Sherpas still tie katas, white ceremonial scarves, to the bridge to help it stay up.

Cholatse is mind-blowing from almost every angle, but it is at its most dramatic trekking into and out of Dzonglha.
