web for yak pictures and end up here, You can use these pictures for school projects and other non-commercial use for free. * We run fantastic treks in Nepal (using yaks to carry loads sometimes), the best treks in Ladakh, Northern India. *

A yak in Upper Mustang
In the Kanchenjunga region, here a yak carries a load over
a rough, small trail, no problem.
The tassles on its head and ears are decoration, not its own hair.
They are very sure footed, and with four legs, even if slipping on ice will keep
their balance.
Some Tibetan women unloading their sleeping bags at Shishapangma Base Camp
Sheila's popular yak photo. Yes, yaks come in whites, greys, blondes and blacks, and even a mix.
A curious yak who has just carried that load from Tibet across the Nangpa La to Namche.
