Nepal visa info
Nepal welcomes tourists and makes it easy to enter, the easiest way is to get the visa on arrival.
Nepal visa on arrival
At the airport there are several visa choices:
+ 48 hour visa (plus 24 hours free) for $5
+ 15 days for $25
+ 30 days for $40
+ 90 days for $100
Payment by CASH ONLY in any major currency (change is returned in rupees), and you need one passport photo too. These are all multiple entry visas, the validity lasts for the number of days of issue (eg 30 days), NOT the number of days in the country.
For Tibet trips you could get one visa above that covers you for the period, or simply another visa when you reenter Nepal (have a passport photo saved for this!).
Tibet (China) visa
Tibet is part of China and is a sensitive region hence the regulations are different from mainland China.
Tibet (Chinese) visa info, starting from Nepal
To visit Tibet from Nepal requires a special visa and multiple permits. We arrange these for you as part of our service and to do this we need copy of your passport details page when you book.
Please send us a digital picture or scan only of the details page.
Once you arrive in Nepal we take your passport to the Chinese Embassy for the visa to be handed over.
Please note that you do NOT need to acquire the Chinese visa from your country. If you do have one, this will be cancelled when we get your visa.
